Richmond Park Half Marathon and Marathon
The event offers two trail running options held entirely within Richmond Park, with the start and finish area at Sheen Gate. Distances on offer include:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Marathon distance
The route begins at Sheen Gate, proceeds to Richmond Gate and returns to Sheen Gate before continuing through the centre of the park to the White House with views of the park lakes. Runners then head to Robin Hood Gate to join the Tamsin Trail, climb Broomfield Hill where a drinks station is located, and continue toward Kingston Gate. The course passes through wooded sections to Ham Gate, where there is an additional drinks and feed station.
From Ham Gate the route goes to Petersham Gate, then returns to Ham Gate and follows the main track alongside Queens Road, crossing that road at a controlled point. A central private park road provides a flatter, faster section that leads back past the White House toward Sheen Gate and the finish area for the half marathon distance.
