Richmond Park Half and Full Marathon, Sunday 23 August 2026
The Richmond Park Half and Full Marathon are combined into a single event on Sunday 23 August 2026. Two race distances are offered:
- Full 26.2 miles or 42.2 km
- Half 13.1 miles or 21.1 km
The course starts at Sheen Gate and follows a loop that uses park roads, tracks and the Tamsin Trail. Runners pass landmarks and gates including Richmond Gate, Petersham Gate, Ham Gate and Kingston Gate. The route goes through areas named Dutchess Wood, Spankers Hill Wood, Ladderstile Gate and Dark Hill, and it includes views across parts of the park.
Water and runner food are available at Broomfield Hill, with additional refreshments mentioned at Ham Gate and other points along the route. The half marathon corresponds to one lap of the described course and completes at 13.1 miles.
The event is UK Athletics affiliated. Organizers note the change is due to a reduction in the number of running events permitted in Richmond Park. Entrants who were registered for previously scheduled dates in May or September and who cannot attend 23 August 2026 are to be offered refunds or assistance by the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
