Event Overview

The Richmond Park event features two distances running simultaneously through the Royal Park in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. This event combines previously separate dates into a single day of racing. All races are UK Athletics Affiliated.

Course Details

The race begins at Sheen Gate with a mass start on the grass. The route follows a mix of paved roads and the Tamsin Trail. Participants pass several landmarks within the park, including Richmond Gate, White Lodge, Spankers Hill Wood, and Robin Hood Gate.

The 21.1 km loop includes sections along the Tamsin Trail towards Broomfield Hill, Kingston Gate, and Ham Gate. The course also utilizes the private road through the center of the park, passing the Ham Cross Plantation and the White House Lodge. Runners completing the full marathon distance perform two laps of this circuit, returning to the race headquarters at Sheen Gate to finish.

Facilities and Support

Refreshment stations providing water and food are located at Broomfield Hill and Ham Gate. Volunteers are stationed throughout the course to assist with traffic crossings and directions.
