Summer Sizzler - Springfield
The Summer Sizzler is an annual multi-distance running event held at Rutledge Wilson Farm in Springfield, Missouri. The event features a variety of distances to accommodate different preferences and age groups, including timed competitive races and untimed participation events.
Participants can choose from several event distances:
- 15K (9.3 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile
- Kids Dash (50 meters)
The 15K, 10K, and 5K races are chip-timed, providing live results and eligibility for awards. The 1 Mile event and the Kids Dash are untimed. The Kids Dash is specifically designed for children aged 10 and under; children who do not require commemorative items may participate in this specific dash without a registration fee. A virtual race option is also available for those who wish to complete their chosen distance at a different location.
Registered participants for the timed events receive a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. To ensure shirt size availability, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday two weeks prior to the event date. The event provides free photos to participants and features post-race amenities including treats and Kona Ice.
