NEON Night 5k Run/Walk for Suicide Prevention
NEON Night is a nighttime run and walk in Springfield, Missouri that raises funds for suicide prevention. The event includes a timed 5k (3.1 miles) and a non-timed 1 mile run/walk on an illuminated trail with neon lighting, a glow zone, a photo booth, and live DJ music. Participants receive a unique t-shirt and glow gear.
The event features an illuminated Memorial Garden where lighted plastic luminaries are displayed. Luminaries may be purchased for display and can be customized "IN MEMORY OF" a loved one; each luminary costs $10.
Medals are awarded only to overall male, female, and non-binary finishers with no age divisions for non-binary, plus the top three finishers in each age division: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
Registration has a fee of $45. Registration opens January 20, 2026 and closes September 5, 2026. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit NAMI Southwest Missouri to support mental illness awareness and suicide prevention efforts.
