The Springfield Office Fun Run Race For The Cure
The Springfield Office Fun Run Race For The Cure takes place in Springfield, Missouri, starting from Park Central Square. This event recreates the "Fun Run" episode from the fourth season of the television series The Office. The race features a looped course, ensuring participants return to the original starting location.
Participants can choose from several distance options and participation formats:
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
- 5k Run/Walk
- 10k Run
- Virtual Run/Walk
The event includes various themed elements based on the television show's storyline. These include scenes such as the presentation of a donation check for rabies awareness and references to specific character moments, such as Michael Scott's fettuccine alfredo meal and Andy Bernard's gear preparations.
Registration for the physical and virtual events opens in November 2025. The 10k and 1 Mile options close their registrations in early June 2026, while the 5k registration remains open until early July 2026. Different registration fees apply to each distance, with the virtual option carrying the same fee as the 10k run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
