Event Overview
The Golden Harvest Half Marathon & 5k/10k takes place in Springfield, Missouri. Hosted at Truman Elementary School, this annual running event provides a variety of course distances to accommodate different participation interests. The event is designed with a focus on community and fitness, featuring chip-timed races and a structured race day schedule.
Distance Options
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- Half Marathon: A long-distance timed race including on-course pacers.
- 10k: A timed mid-distance road race.
- 5k: A timed short-distance road race with youth-based pricing for those 12 and under.
- 1 Mile: An untimed distance option.
- Kid's Dash: A short, untimed event for children aged 10 and under.
- Virtual Run: An option to complete the distances at any location.
Participant Experience
All registered participants receive a designer shirt and a custom finisher medal. For the timed events (Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k), the registration includes a custom bib and access to live results and awards. The Kid's Dash provides a mini bib and a youth-sized shirt. After finishing the course, participants have access to snacks at the finish line and free event photography.
The courses are managed in partnership with local parks to minimize impact on the surrounding community. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners, masters, and the top three finishers in various age groups starting from 10 and under up to 80 and over.
