Event details
The 9th Annual Holden's Hope Forever 5K & 1 Mile Race takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Graywood Park in Lake Charles, Louisiana (6150 Graywood Parkway, Lake Charles, LA 70605). The event is organized by Holden's Hope, a local Southwest Louisiana 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports families of infants with long hospital stays and families coping with miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss. The event includes dedicated tribute areas along the course.

Entries, fees and deadlines
Registration options and listed fees include $20 for the 1 Mile, $30 for the 5K, $35 for the combo, and $40 for the virtual option. Online registration closes in April 2026 (event pages list April 21 or April 22 depending on the entry). Race day registration is available for those who miss online registration. Children pushed in strollers are not charged a racing fee. The event has a no-refund policy.
Awards, shirts and other information
Awards include team awards (largest team, best team T-shirt design, team fundraising) and individual medals for overall and age-group placings in the 5K and overall awards for the 1 Mile. Short-sleeved performance shirts are guaranteed for participants who register prior to April 8, 2026; shirts may also be purchased separately through March 25, 2026. Tribute signs along the route can be ordered by March 15, 2026. Post-race wristbands for food and activities are available for purchase.
