The 9th Annual HOLDEN'S HOPE FOREVER 5K takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Graywood Park, 6150 Graywood Parkway, Lake Charles, LA 70605. The event includes these race options:
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk
- Combo 5K & 1 Mile
- Virtual Run/Walk for out-of-town supporters
Holden's Hope is a local Southwest Louisiana 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Its mission is to support families of infants with long hospital stays and families coping with miscarriage, stillbirth, or the loss of an infant. The organization serves families in the parishes of Southwest Louisiana and Louisiana hospital NICU units.
Registration, fees and awards
Online registration opens December 14, 2025, and closes April 22, 2026. Listed registration fees are $20 for the 1 Mile, $30 for the 5K, $35 for the Combo, and $40 for the Virtual Run/Walk. T-shirt requests are guaranteed for registrations completed by April 8, 2026. No racing fee is collected for children pushed in strollers. The event has a no-refund policy. Organizers communicate weather-related updates to participants via email and text; the event is planned to proceed in rain or shine.
Awards include team recognitions (Largest Team plaque, Best Team T-shirt trophy, Team Fundraising Award) and individual medals for overall winners and age-group placings in the 5K and 1 Mile events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
