District 19 - Race Information
District 19 is a run crew led race experience produced by District Running Collective in Washington, DC. It is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2026 in Anacostia, Washington, DC 20020. The event returns for year seven and presents 5K, 19K, and 19 Mile distances.
The event is an unsanctioned road and trail run that weaves through all corners and quadrants of the District. All courses start and end at the same location and course markers will guide participants along the route.
Distances
- 19 Mile near marathon distance.
- 19K (11.8 miles) near half marathon distance.
- 5K (3.1 miles) short road and trail run.
All participants receive an official race t shirt, a post race snack, and a finisher medal. The 19K is listed as an alternate option for relaxed pace participants who may take longer than 4 hours and 40 minutes to complete the 19 Mile.
Runners will be assigned corrals based on submitted times and corrals will be released in waves to limit crowding. Participants who do not submit a time will be placed in the last corral. Race entry sales are final and non refundable. Current entry fees are listed as $75 for the 19 Miler, $65 for the 19K, and $55 for the 5K, with scheduled price increases after July 31, 2026.
Safety guidance notes that bibs should be visible on the outermost layer, runners should be aware of surroundings and consider leaving one earbud out, and they must follow pedestrian and traffic rules because roads will not be closed. Participants should not take part if experiencing fever, respiratory symptoms, gastrointestinal symptoms, or other acute illness. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
