Food for Others Tysons 5K & Fun Run
The Food for Others Tysons 5K & Fun Run is scheduled for September 26, 2026 at PenFed Plaza, Tysons Corner Center, 1961 Chain Bridge Rd, Tysons VA. The event brings the local community together to raise awareness of food insecurity in Northern Virginia.
Distances offered:
- 5K: 3.11 miles in-person running race
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: 1 mile untimed fun run
- Virtual Runner: 3.11 miles virtual option
Registration opened on February 4, 2026. Online registration will remain available until race day; in-person registration and packet pickup are available at the event location and packet pickup details are to be determined. Fee tiers include early and late registration pricing for the in-person events and a separate fee for the virtual option. Race participants receive a commemorative bib and a t-shirt, with a shirt guaranteed for those registered by September 12, 2026.
The event includes post-race activities at the race hub with a DJ, food and coffee, and sponsor displays. Participants and volunteers can write inspirational messages for students served by the Power Pack Program, which provides weekend meal packs to over 3,900 students each week. Free race photos will be posted online after the event. The race will be professionally timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC.
