Desert View Elementary Dash for Autism
The Desert View Elementary Dash for Autism takes place on April 17, 2027, at Desert View Elementary in Sunland Park, New Mexico. The event features separate running and walking options and is organized around the school campus.
Distances offered:
- 5K - 3.1 miles
- 3.3K walking event - 2.05 miles
Awards are given for overall and age-group performance in the 5K. A trophy is awarded to the first place overall male and female 5K finishers. Medals are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female 5K finishers in these age groups: 9 & under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 & over. A trophy is presented to the largest team. The first 50 children who walk with a parent receive a special medal. Event T-shirts are provided to the first 200 registrants.
Packet pick up is available at Desert View Elementary on April 16 and April 17 during morning and afternoon pickup periods. Registration fees listed for the events include a $30 fee for the 5K and a $25 fee for the 3.3K walking event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
