Desert View Elementary Dash for Autism
The Desert View Elementary Dash for Autism is a community running and walking event held on April 17, 2027 at Desert View Elementary, 1105 Valle Vista Dr., Sunland Park, NM 88063. The event offers both a running race and a walking option over short distances.

- 3.3K (2.05 miles) walk
Registration for the events opens on October 19, 2026 and closes on April 17, 2027. The listed registration fees are $30.00 for the 5K and $25.00 for the 3.3K walk. The first 200 registrants receive event T-shirts.
Packet pick up takes place at Desert View Elementary on the day before and the day of the event during morning and afternoon pick up windows. Specific packet pick up times are provided by the organizer.
Awards are offered for the 5K: a trophy for the first place overall male and female, medals for the first three male and female finishers within age groups, and a trophy for the largest team. Age groups for 5K medals include: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over. The first 50 children who walk with a parent receive a special medal.
