Desert View Elementary Dash for Autism
The Desert View Elementary Dash for Autism is a run and walk event scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026. It takes place at Desert View Elementary, located at 1105 Valle Vista Dr. in Sunland Park, New Mexico.
Two event distances are offered: a 5K and a 3.3K run/walk. Both distances begin at the same time. Registration fees are listed as $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 3.3K.
The event includes awards for the 5K race. A trophy is presented to the first place overall male and female finishers. Medals are awarded to the first, second, and third place male and female finishers in various age groups, from 9 & under up to 70 & over. A trophy is also given to the largest team participating. All children who walk with a parent receive a special medal.
The first 300 registrants receive a t-shirt. Packet pick-up is available at Desert View Elementary on the Thursday and Friday before the event, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
