About the race
Desert Night Race 3 is the third event in a three-race Desert Night Race Series held in Phoenix, AZ. Live races take place at AZ Falls, 5802 E. Indian School Rd.
The series consists of three Friday evening 5K events on 8/21, 9/18, and 10/16. Each individual race awards a desert themed medal; the series offers three different medals to collect. The series raises funds for Child Crisis Arizona. The organizer states the charity’s mission is to provide children and youth in Arizona a safe environment, free from abuse and neglect, by creating strong and successful families. Live entries are chip timed and include age group awards and raffle prizes.
Races are limited to 250 spots. Series registration offers early pricing and a free tech shirt for series registrants while supplies last; early series pricing is listed as $89 through 8/3. Individual race entries are listed at $35 each with a $5 price increase two weeks before a race.
An optional tech shirt is available for purchase with individual entries; one series shirt design and remaining sizes are limited. A virtual race option allows participants to run on their own day and submit a time; virtual packets are shipped during race week.
