Sanderson Ford Giraffe Jam Family Fun Run 2026
The Sanderson Ford Giraffe Jam Family Fun Run is a charity run/walk held at Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park in Litchfield Park, AZ on October 24, 2026. The event is described as an almost a 5k course that takes place through the zoo before it opens to the public.
All event proceeds are donated to Save Giraffes Now. The organizer’s information notes significant pressures on giraffe populations, including a 40% decline over the last three decades, high infant mortality, and large-scale habitat loss equivalent to about 3,800,000 square miles.
Participants receive a finisher medal and a runner bag that includes a coupon for half off zoo admission and half off rides; the coupon must be presented at the gate to receive the discount. Race shirts are optional and available only by pre-order through 9/25/26; only runners who pre-order shirts will receive a shirt. The finisher medal is not guaranteed for registrations made within 48 hours of the event. The finish line exits to the parking lot, and participants enter through the main zoo gate at the east entrance.
