Sanderson Ford Giraffe Jam Family Fun Run takes place at Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park, 16501 W Northern Ave, Litchfield Park, AZ 85340. The event is an almost a 5k run/walk that goes through the zoo before it opens to the public.
One hundred percent of event proceeds are donated to Save Giraffes Now, a conservation organization working to protect giraffes. The event description includes conservation facts cited by the organizer: a roughly 40% decline in giraffe population over the last three decades and a historic loss of about 3,800,000 square miles of giraffe habitat.
All registered participants receive a finisher medal and a runner bag that includes a coupon for half off zoo admission and half off rides; the coupon must be presented at the gate to receive the discounted admission. Race shirts are optional and available only as a pre-order by 9/25/26; only participants who pre-order will receive a shirt. The finisher medal is not guaranteed for registrations made within 48 hours of the event.
