Sanderson Ford Giraffe Jam Family Fun Run 2026
The Sanderson Ford Giraffe Jam Family Fun Run takes place on October 24, 2026 at Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park in Litchfield Park, Arizona. The event is a family-oriented run or walk that follows a route through the zoo before it opens to the public and is described as an almost a 5k course.
Registration is organized by age category. Adult (ages 13 and up) and child (ages 3 to 12) entries have published fees, and children age 2 and under do not require registration. Race shirts are optional and must be pre-ordered; only participants who pre-order will receive a race shirt.
All fun run participants are scheduled to receive a finisher medal and a runner bag that includes a coupon for half off zoo admission and half off rides. To use the discounted admission offer, participants must present the coupon at the gate. A finisher medal may not be guaranteed for registrations completed within 48 hours of the event start. The finish area exits to the zoo parking lot.
One hundred percent of event proceeds will be donated to the organization Save Giraffes Now. The event materials note conservation concerns for giraffes including population decline over the last three decades, high infant mortality, disparity in numbers compared with elephants, and large losses of historic giraffe habitat.
