Sanderson Ford Giraffe Jam Family Fun Run 2026
The Sanderson Ford Giraffe Jam Family Fun Run takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium and Safari Park in Litchfield Park, AZ (16501 W Northern Ave). The event is described as an almost a 5k run/walk that goes through the zoo before the park opens to the public.
All race participants receive a finisher medal and a runner bag that includes a coupon for half price zoo admission and half price rides. To use the discounted admission, the coupon must be presented at the gate. Finish line access exits to the parking lot and finish line vendors are to be determined. A course map is provided by the organizer.
Proceeds from the event are donated to Save Giraffes Now. The event description lists conservation information including a 40 percent decline in giraffe population over the last three decades, reduced giraffe infant survival, and large losses of historic giraffe habitat.
Check-in is through the main zoo gate at the east entrance. Race shirts are optional and must be pre-ordered from the online store by 9/25/26; only pre-ordered shirts will be distributed. A finisher medal may not be guaranteed for registrations made within 48 hours of the event start.
