Sanderson Ford Giraffe Jam Family Fun Run - Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park
The Sanderson Ford Giraffe Jam Family Fun Run takes place at Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park in Litchfield Park, Arizona on October 24, 2026. The event is an almost 5k run and walk through the zoo held before the facility opens to the public for the day. The course finishes at the parking lot.
Proceeds from this event are donated in full to Save Giraffes Now. The organization’s materials note that giraffe populations have declined by about 40 percent over the last three decades, that half or more of giraffe infants may not survive to adulthood, that there are roughly four times as many elephants as giraffes in Africa, and that about 3,800,000 square miles of historic giraffe habitat has been lost.
All fun run participants receive a finisher medal and a runner bag that includes a coupon for half off zoo admission and half off rides. To use the discounted admission, participants must present the coupon at the gate. Race shirts are optional and must be pre-ordered by 9/25/26 to be provided; only pre-ordered shirts will be distributed. Finisher medals are not guaranteed for registrations made within 48 hours of the event start.
