Phoenix Children's Spooktacular Sprint & 5K
Phoenix Children's Spooktacular Sprint & 5K is a Halloween-themed community run and kids dash held in downtown Phoenix. The event combines a timed 5K and a shorter kids dash with festive elements, where participants may run, jog, or walk in costume along a course through city streets.
Distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- Kids Dash
The event is scheduled for October 24, 2026, at Wesley Bolin Plaza, 1700 W Washington Street. Parking is available in surrounding parking lots.
Fundraising is central to the event. Participants can select the area of care they want to support, including the Hope Fund and multiple clinical programs and services such as the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Barrow Neurological Institute, Behavioral and Mental Health, Center for Heart Care, Center for Trauma Care, and other departments listed by the organizer. Funds benefit patient care, research, family assistance, and supportive programs such as Child Life, Therapeutic Arts, Nursing, and Volunteer Services.
The event also includes sponsors across several levels and reports past participant and fundraising totals. A 2025 recap notes 3,000 participants raised over $400,000 for Phoenix Children’s programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
