Phoenix Children's Spooktacular Sprint & 5K
Phoenix Children's Spooktacular Sprint & 5K takes place on October 24, 2026 at Wesley Bolin Plaza in downtown Phoenix. The event blends a timed 5K and a Kids Dash with a Halloween theme; participants may run, jog, or walk the 5K course while wearing costumes. Parking is available in surrounding lots.
Participants can fundraise for specific areas of care when they register. Fundraising options include the Hope Fund and medical and support programs such as Barrow Neurological Institute, Behavioral and Mental Health, the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Center for Heart Care, Center for Trauma Care, Child Life, Therapeutic Arts, Patient and Family Assistance Fund, Nursing, Palliative Care and Bereavement, and others. The event supports Phoenix Children’s mission to provide lifesaving, family-centered care.
Previous editions have combined community participation and fundraising; in 2025 about 3,000 participants raised over $400,000 for Phoenix Children’s programs. The event also lists multiple sponsor levels and partner organizations. The overall format is presented as part race, part Halloween gathering, and part fundraiser, with proceeds directed to the chosen areas of care at Phoenix Children’s.
