About the race
The Venice Beach Holiday Run offers timed 5K and 10K courses on December 19, 2026, at 1 Windward Ave, Venice, CA 90291. The event uses an oceanfront route along Ocean Front Walk, running south toward the Venice Fishing Pier and returning to the start/finish where Windward Avenue meets Ocean Front Walk.
Distances:
- 5K (3.1 Miles) - 1 loop
- 10K (6.2 Miles) - 2 loops
Participants receive a custom finisher medal and a race shirt. Every entrant is provided jingle bells for their running shoes. The event uses ChronoTrack chip timing and includes overall and age-group awards. A holiday costume contest and festive finish-line activities are part of the event program.
Registration opens August 24, 2026 and closes October 2, 2026. Registration fees listed are $42.99 for the 5K and $48.99 for the 10K. Parking is paid; the organizer recommends the South City Parking Lot / Venice Blvd Lot at 2100 Ocean Front Walk, which is a short walk from the start/finish. The course is an open pedestrian pathway and participants are asked to share the route courteously with other users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
