2027 DC Mother's Day 5k & 10k
This event offers two measured road race distances in Georgetown, Washington DC, with a scenic, flat out-and-back course along the C&O Canal. The trail is a light gravel dirt road with minimal elevation change.

Points earned at the races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series and also count toward the Spring Series. A virtual run option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.
Runners receive a finisher's medal, a technical DriFit event shirt, and chip timing. Live race results are posted on Athlinks and a QR code will link to immediate results at the event; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to the first and second place male and female in multiple age categories, including expanded youth brackets for the 5k: ages 1 to 7, 8 to 12, and 13 to 19. Walkers and strollers are welcome.
Course services include water stations placed at approximately mile markers 1.5 for the 5k and at roughly 1.5, 3.1, and 4.65 for the 10k, with Gatorade available at some stations. Port-a-johns are located near check-in and packet pickup is available at the event. There is no on-site race registration for this event. The organizer does not allow unregistered participation.
