DC Half Races
The DC Half Races take place on the streets of Washington, DC, and are presented by the local running shop, Pacers Running. The event serves as a celebration of the city's running community and culture. Participants can choose between two primary race distances on certified courses:
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles) on a USATF certified course
- 5K (3.1 Miles) on a DC certified course
Participants receive a race gift shirt and a finisher medal upon completing their respective distances. The event includes a post-race festival area for runners and their friends. Volunteer support is provided throughout the course to assist participants during the races.
The race venue is located on Independence Ave SW, providing a central location within the District. Registration for the half marathon distance opens approximately one year in advance, while the 5K registration opens in the spring of the race year.
