About the race
The Dashing Whippets Summer Track Meet is a track competition hosted at the George Washington Educational Campus Track in New York City. Tickets are offered online and registration is not yet open; organizers plan to open registration ahead of the event date and to provide notifications when registration goes live. The meet is sponsored by New Balance and will use fully automatic timing provided by elitefeats.
The event is scheduled to run rain or shine. The program includes a range of individual races and relays. Events listed for the meet include: - 5000 meters in seeded heats - Mile run - Kids' 100 meters (non-FAT fun run) - 100 meters preliminaries and final - 200 meters dash - 400 meters dash - 800 meters run - 4x200 meters relay - Distance medley relay (1200, 400, 800, 1600) - 4x400 meters relay Participants must check in before their events; events after the 4x200 relay will proceed on a rolling schedule.
