DARTMOOR GRANITE 50
The Dartmoor Granite 50 is a simultaneous 50 mile event run alongside the Dartmoor Full Circle 100. The route skirts the eastern section of Dartmoor and crosses several areas of open moorland, following the Dartmoor Way from Scorriton near Buckfastleigh through Ashburton, Haytor, Manaton and Chagford to a finish in Okehampton.
The course distance is approximately 50 miles with over 2000 metres of ascent. There is a maximum time allowance of 15 hours. The route includes three full checkpoints that provide hot food, drinks and other refreshments. GPX files and a pre-marked map are provided for route navigation, and GPS trackers are used for competitors.
Entry requirements include a minimum age of 21 and completion of a trail marathon between 1 October 2024 and 31 August 2026. Competitors are expected to have or work toward night navigation skills for later stages of the event.
On-site facilities at the event centre include changing and showering facilities, professional medical support, parking for the duration of the race, and bar and hot meals available across the weekend. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and trophies are awarded to the first three male and female finishers. A coach transfer option to the start is available for an additional fee.
