Overview
The Dartmoor Way events are organised by OuterEdge Events and take place on the Dartmoor National Park periphery on 2-3 October 2026. Both races follow the waymarked Dartmoor Way walking route and use Okehampton (OCRA Pavilion) as the event centre and finish location. The Full Circle 100 is a continuous, non-stop circumnavigation of the Moor. The Granite 50 follows the eastern section of the Dartmoor Way from Scoriton to Okehampton.
Race details
- ~100 miles - Full Circle 100
- 51 miles - Granite 50
The Full Circle 100 visits moorland landmarks, villages and varied terrain including woodland glades, riverside trails, green lanes, country lanes and open moorland. The 100-mile event includes approximately 4,000 m of ascent and has six indoor, manned checkpoints offering hot food and refreshments. The Granite 50 covers about 51 miles, crosses open moorland, has over 2,000 m of ascent and three indoor checkpoints plus an additional water stop. Both races are fully supported with GPS trackers issued to competitors, GPX files and downloadable maps, on-site changing and shower facilities, parking at the event centre, and professional medical cover. Entry standards are enforced: the 100-mile race requires a prior long-distance qualifier; the 50-mile race requires a recent trail marathon and a minimum age of 21. Maximum time allowances apply to each race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
