DARTMOOR GRANITE 50
The Dartmoor Granite 50 is a 50 mile trail race that runs alongside the Dartmoor Full Circle 100 event. The route skirts the eastern section of Dartmoor National Park and crosses several areas of open moorland, following the Dartmoor Way via Ashburton, Haytor, Manaton and Chagford from Scorriton to the finish in Okehampton.
The course includes over 2000 metres of ascent and three full checkpoints offering hot food, drinks and refreshments. GPS trackers are provided for competitors and GPX files are available to follow the pre-marked route. The event lists a maximum time allowance of 15 hours.
Facilities at the event centre include changing and showering rooms, parking for the duration of the race, bar facilities and hot meals over the weekend. Professional medical support is provided and bespoke trophies are awarded to the first three male and female finishers. A quality finishers medal is given to finishers.
Entry requirements include a minimum age of 21 and completion of a trail marathon between 1 October 2024 and 31 August 2026. Competitors must have experience of night navigation, particularly for the final hours of the event. Entry fees in the posted materials are shown as UKA Member £106.00 and Non Member £108.00, with an optional coach transfer to the start listed at £15.
