Dartmoor Granite 50
The event is a 50 mile trail race run alongside the Dartmoor Full Circle 100. The route skirts the eastern section of Dartmoor and crosses several sections of open moorland. The course starts in Scorriton near Buckfastleigh and follows the Dartmoor Way walking route via Ashburton, Haytor, Manaton and Chagford before finishing in Okehampton at the OCRA Pavilion.
The course includes over 2000 metres of ascent and runs over sometimes rugged terrain. There are three full checkpoints offering hot food, drinks and refreshments. Organisers provide GPS trackers for competitors, a GPX file of the route, professional medical cover, changing and shower facilities, and a bespoke finisher medal. Parking is available at the event centre in Okehampton and bar and hot food are available across the weekend. Entry requirements include a minimum age of 21 and completion of a trail marathon between 1 October 2024 and 31 August 2026; competitors must have, or intend to gain, night navigation experience for the final hours of the event.
