Event information

The Train‑ing Challenge takes place on Saturday, 29 August 2026 in Bridestowe, Devon (Station Road, EX20 4HF). The course is an out-and-back route on an old disused train line. Each lap measures 5.3 km and the surface includes off-road and paved sections with undulating terrain. Entrants may complete any number of laps up to a maximum of 14 within the permitted time and finishers receive a medal.

The organiser offers two timed options with different time limits for completing the final lap: one option allows 7 hours and the other allows 5 hours to reach the finish of the final lap.

Entries, fees and logistics

Maximum entry is 70 runners. Entries close on 27 August 2026 and the minimum age to enter is 18 years. Entry prices are listed as Affiliated £32.00 and Unattached £34.00. If the event reaches capacity, entrants registering after capacity is reached will receive a bespoke medal chosen from those available on the day.
