What & When

The Train-ing Challenge is an 8-hour timed running event. It takes place on Saturday, August 29, 2026. A 'TUGG' (Turn Up Get Going) system operates, where participants can start any time between 07:30 and 14:30. All participants must finish by 15:30.

The Course

The course consists of out-and-back laps of 5.3 km each, run on an old, disused train line. The route is described as scenic. The terrain is a mix of off-road and paved surfaces and is undulating.

Participation

Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome. Participants can complete as many laps as they wish within the time limit. Anyone who completes at least one lap is considered a finisher and receives a medal. The event has a maximum capacity of 70 entrants.

Location & Entry

The event is held at a venue on Station Road in Bridestowe. Entry is closed to those under 18 years of age. Standard entry fees apply, with options available for affiliated and unattached runners, including a lower-cost 'No Perks' option that does not include a medal.
