Newnham 8 and 4 Mile trail race + canix
The event is an evening trail run held on the grounds of the Newnham estate at Newnham Park, Plympton, Devon, on 28 August 2026. The course uses private estate paths on the outskirts of Plymouth and includes options for runners with dogs.
Distances offered:
- 8 Miler, two laps, canicross option
- 4 Miler, one lap, canicross option
The 8 Miler is presented as an alternative distance between standard 10K and a half marathon, while the 4 Miler is an alternative between 5K and 10K. Entry is managed through SiEntries and requires an account with that system. Entries open 15 October 2025 and close 27 August 2026. The minimum age to enter is 18 or older.
Entry fees listed are £18 for the 8 Miler and £16 for the 4 Miler; the same fees apply to the canicross entries. Proceeds from the event will support the work of Bowel Cancer West.
