Newnham 8 Miler and Canicross Mini Backyard Ultra - Plymouth, Friday 22nd August
The Newnham 8 Miler is a Mini Backyard Ultra held on the grounds of the Newnham Estate in Plymouth. The event is a trail run with a canicross entry available for participants who wish to run with a dog. All money raised will support the work of Bowel Cancer West.
The Mini Backyard format gives participants a choice of completing one lap or two. Each lap measures four miles, so options are:
- 4 miles for one lap
- 8 miles for two laps
Participants who do not return in time for the scheduled lap may still continue onto a second lap, making the format informal and flexible for those taking part.
The event includes awards in several categories. Prizes are listed for overall winner, first crew across the line, best dressed, and a prize for the overall dog entry.
