Newnham 8 and 4 Mile trail race + canix
The Newnham 8 and 4 Mile trail race + canix is an early evening trail running event held on a private estate in Plympton, Devon. The race takes place within the grounds of Newnham Park, located on the outskirts of Plymouth. Participants have the opportunity to run through private parkland on a course designed for both traditional runners and canicross entrants.
The event offers two loop-based distances:
- 8 Miler: A two-lap trail race.
- 4 Miler: A single-lap trail race.
Both distances are available for solo runners and for those participating in the canicross category with their dogs. The minimum age for entry is 18 years old. Registration for the event takes place on-site at Newnham Park.
Organized by Bowel Cancer West, the event serves as a fundraiser where all money raised supports the organization's work. The course provides an alternative to standard race distances like the 5k, 10k, or half marathon.
