Devon and Cornwall Backyard Ultra
The event is a backyard ultra format where each lap is a fixed distance of 4.167 miles and must be completed within 60 minutes. Laps start on the hour; remaining time within each hour is typically used for recovery before the next circuit. Participants continue hourly circuits until only one runner remains; that runner is the winner.
The event takes place from Saturday 29th to Sunday 30th August 2026. Entries open Wednesday 15th October 2025 and close Thursday 27th August 2026. The minimum age to enter is 18 and the entry fee is £95. Camping is included in entry and is available from Friday 29th August until Sunday 31st August or until the event finishes. The event offers an optional XCover purchase to allow for potential refunds in certain circumstances.
Event facilities have included an accessible toilet and sanitary bins that are stoma friendly. A complimentary hair plaiting service has been offered at past events, with donations to the organising charity welcomed.
