Cranberry Crawl 5K and 10K

The Cranberry Crawl is a running and race-walking event held at East Potomac Park in Washington, DC. Part of the Potomac Valley Track Club's holiday series, this event features two road race distances:

  • 5 km (run and race walk)
  • 10 km (run)

The course is located at 972 Ohio Drive SW and consists of one or two out-and-back segments on paved roads. The terrain is flat, making the route accessible for walkers and wheelchair participants. Each race typically hosts approximately 100 participants. For those running the 10 km, the starting point is located roughly 50 meters north of the 5 km starting line.

On-site packet pickup is available on the morning of the event, though there is no race-day registration. Participants can find free and ample parking at the East Potomac Park Golf Course.

Top finishers are recognized with awards, including cranberry bread, for the top three participants in 10-year age groups for both men and women, as well as for race walkers. Following the completion of the races, refreshments are provided for participants. The event is organized by the Potomac Valley Track Club as part of a seasonal series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
