Event overview
Racin' Around the Lake takes place on March 28, 2026, at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station, VA. The event includes multiple race distances and offers a virtual race option. Points from the event count toward the organizer's Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Winter Series. The event partners with the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation.

Course and race services
All courses run on park trails. The route is described as fairly flat and well maintained, with tree roots in places. The 5k and 10k are a single out-and-back; the half marathon is two out-and-back loops. The event is chip timed. Finishers receive a coin and a technical (DriFIT) event shirt. Walkers and strollers are welcome.
Water stations are provided: two along the 5k, three along the 10k, and nine along the half marathon at approximate mile markers. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed before March 18.
Results, awards, and other notes
Live results will be posted online and final results with series points will be posted the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in listed age groups from 19 & under through 70+. Photos taken by staff will be posted after the event.
