Event Overview
The Spin in the Woods 4 Miler is a trail running event held at Wheaton Regional Park in Maryland. The course covers a distance of 4 miles and is characterized by a two-loop layout. Participants start in the parking lot located north of the Wheaton Ice Arena and proceed onto the Equestrian Trail for two full loops before returning to the finish area.
The event is organized by the Montgomery County Road Runners Club (MCRRC) as part of their low-key race series. It is open to both club members and the general public.
Registration and Participation
Registration procedures vary based on membership status:

MCRRC members may participate for free and do not need to register for the specific event, though they must have a valid 2024 bib and timing chip. Non-members can register online for a fee of $22 for adults or $11.60 for participants under the age of 18. Online registration remains open until the start of the race, and participants are encouraged to register before arriving at the site.
Location and Parking
The race is centered at the Wheaton Ice Arena at 11717 Orebaugh Avenue. Runners are requested to park near the ice-skating arena or in the main entrance parking lot.
