Clowbridge 5k - Autumn 2/3
The event is a trail 5 km race that follows a popular route off the Pennine Bridleway. The course consists of two laps of the trail path around Clowbridge Reservoir, run anti-clockwise from the Rossendale Valley Sailing Club on Manchester Road, Burnley BB11 5PF. The route is described as fast and flat with approximately 25 m of total elevation over the 5 km.
The race is one of three in an autumn series held on consecutive Thursdays on 3, 10 and 17 September 2026. It is open to competitors aged 11 and over. Entries for the series have defined opening and closing dates and a listed entry fee of £6.50. Entry requires logging in or registering with the event entry system.
Races are marshalled and prizes are awarded in each race. Participants are asked to park sensibly with a lower car park available at the Sailing Club and additional parking near Limey Lane at the far end of the reservoir. Proceeds from the series will be donated to local causes. The organiser is RunJMC and the series is listed as licensed under ARC pending.
