Bronte Half Marathon
The Bronte Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile trail race held in Bronte Country between Haworth and Hebden Bridge on 20 September 2026. The course is a single lap with a hilly profile and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Race HQ is at Penistone Hill Country Park, Haworth.
The event is organised by Sue Ryder and returns after a successful debut year. The race field is limited to 200 entries; at the time of publication there were 171 places remaining. Entry fees are £17 for adults and U18s, with entry on the day available for an additional £5 if the event has not sold out.
Facilities at the event include water and toilets. There are no distance markers, no changing facilities, no showers, and no baggage storage. All participants receive a pie and peas meal and a race memento at the finish. Digital maps of the route are provided by the organiser.
The event is staged alongside a long-running mountain bike ride in the same area; the organiser notes that both activities take place on the day and that runners and cyclists share the general event setting. Entrants agree to the organiser's event terms and the organiser's contact and privacy preferences as part of registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
