About the race
The Media City Relays take place on 30 September 2027 at Media City Piazza in Salford. The event is run as a team relay with legs on a measured loop that starts and finishes in the event village.
The route uses a 2.5 km loop through Media City UK, crossing the Millennium Bridge, passing the Imperial War Museum and running around the ITV and BBC television studios. The format features team handovers on a multi-lap course and an urban city backdrop.

Included in entry are a themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post-race goodies and a secure bag drop. An event village will be on site with food, drink and finish-line refreshments. An optional event t-shirt is available as an extra, produced in partnership with RT Kit.
Event logistics note a two-hour cut-off for the race and a minimum age of 15. Race day facilities include a secure baggage marquee with tagged collection, portable toilets available in the event village and water stations on each lap plus water at the finish. Spectators are welcome and are advised to remain in the event village where start and finish can be viewed; road closures are in place on the course.
Public transport access is convenient: Media City Metrolink station is under 100 metres from the event village and Salford Crescent is the nearest mainline station. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
