City of Champions Half Marathon 10k/5k
The City of Champions event takes place on November 21, 2026, in Gadsden, Alabama. The run starts and ends at Back Forty Beer Company, located at 200 North 6th Street, Gadsden, AL 35901. The event benefits The United Way of Etowah County and other local charities.
Available race distances:
- Half Marathon: 13.1 Miles
- 10k: 6 Miles
- 5k: 3.1 Miles
Registration opens June 1, 2026 and closes July 1, 2026. Published registration fees are $55.00 for the half marathon, $30.00 for the 10k, and $25.00 for the 5k. Event updates are sent by email; registration requires a valid email address. The deadline to order a T shirt is October 27, 2026.
Packet pickup is offered on the evening before the event at Back Forty Beer Company from 5pm to 7pm, and on the morning of the event from 6:30am to 7:00am.
Finishers in the half marathon receive a custom medal at the finish line and age group awards are given. Winners in the 10k and 5k receive custom medals for age group placement. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
