US Road Running - Gadsden
The US Road Running event in Gadsden, Alabama, takes place at James Martin Trail Park, located behind the Gadsden Mall. This event is part of the US Road Running Race Series and offers participants a choice of three race distances on a pea gravel trail. All participants must register through RunSignup, as there is no registration available on the day of the event.
The available distances for this event include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
The 5K and 10K courses utilize an out-and-back trail section measuring 0.78 miles. For the 5K, runners complete this out-and-back circuit two times. For the 10K, participants complete the circuit four times. The Half Marathon follows a different out-and-back section measuring 1.09 miles, with runners completing the circuit six times to reach the full distance.
A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is enforced for all participants. Finishing medals are provided to those who complete their respective distances.
