Medal Madness 5K, 10K, & 13.1M : Gadsden, AL
The event is scheduled for December 12, 2026, at James Martin Trail Park in Gadsden, AL 35901. The program includes three race distances: a 5K, a 10K, and a half marathon (13.1 miles). All races take place on a pea gravel trail behind the Gadsden Mall; GPS devices may direct participants to a small building on Old S 4th Street.
Course layouts are based on short out-and-back segments. The 5K and 10K use a segment measured as 0.78 miles with an out-and-back length of 1.56 miles; the 5K completes that out-and-back twice and the 10K four times. The half marathon uses a 1.09 mile segment with an out-and-back length of 3.18 miles and completes that out-and-back six times. The event enforces a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the start and closes 10 minutes before the start. All participants must register through RunSignup; there is no on-site registration.
