Christmas Lights Run
The Christmas Lights Run is a night time 3 Mile run in Crown Point on Tuesday, Dec. 17th. The event is based at the 4H Building at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point and follows streets that feature local holiday light displays.
The course is non timed and guides participants through neighborhoods with seasonal decorations. Participants are asked to wear head lamps or reflective clothing because the run takes place after dark.
Entry fees and items are specified in advance. Cost through 12/16 is $20 for all ages, with an event day fee of $25. Shirts are available for an additional $16 if ordered by 12/9. The first 100 registrants receive a light up Christmas necklace, and the first 100 children registered receive a free plush elf.
The event supports local charities including Hobart Humane Society and St. Jude House. No refunds will be given for weather or other reasons, transfers of entry are permitted through 12/1, and any shirts not claimed at the event will be sold afterward.
