Chimpathon 10K Run/Walk
The Chimpathon 10K is a chip timed running event held at the Save the Chimps sanctuary in Fort Pierce, Florida on February 20, 2027. The course is described as flat and fast and starts and finishes at the sanctuary, offering views of island habitats and the sanctuary residents.

All participants receive a finisher medal, a Chimpathon performance t-shirt, overall and age-group awards, post-race food and refreshments, and live results with split times. The event is limited to 700 participants and parking at the site is managed by volunteers. There is a single sanctuary entrance; vehicles will not be able to enter after the race has started.
The event includes a fundraising track with a VIP tier for the first 100 participants who commit to raising $500. VIP Chimp Champs receive perks such as free race registration for fundraisers, a limited-edition Chimpathon magnet, an exclusive VIP Chimp Champ t-shirt, a VIP meet-up and photo opportunity on race day, and recognition on the sanctuary channels. Fundraising proceeds support the care of nearly 220 rescued chimpanzees and are used for meals, veterinary care, and enrichment.
