Turkey Trot at Tradition
Turkey Trot at Tradition is the 9th annual community 5K run and walk held on Thanksgiving Day in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The event is based at Tradition Town Hall on Southwest Civic Lane and is presented by Turkey Trot Tradition, Inc.
The 5K course is USATF certified with certification code FL21039JK. Timing is provided with chips by Southern Timing, LLC; all participants receive an individual results page that includes pace breakdown, final results, photos, and a roughly 20 second video of crossing the start and finish line.
A pre-race packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the race at Tradition Square, and race day packet pick-up is available for those who cannot attend the pre-race pickup. Organizers expect approximately 3,500 participants and therefore encourage use of pre-race packet pick-up to reduce congestion on race morning.
The event welcomes strollers on course and does not require registration for children in strollers, although registering a child will provide a t-shirt and finisher medal. Dogs are not permitted on the race course but may be present in pre- and post-race areas. The race operates as a non-profit event with proceeds donated to local charities, and registration is non-refundable.
Registration fees vary by date and age. A youth rate for ages 18 and under is listed as $30, and adult rates are shown around $40 with a later increase to $45 for registrations closer to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
