Chick-Fil-A Chicken Biscuit Run 5K
The event features two distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
The 5K starts and finishes at the Chick-Fil-A in River City Marketplace. The event benefits various community groups; last year’s beneficiaries included Young Christians In Action Youth Sports, Friends of Talbot, Lavilla Band, Marathon High, local running clubs, K9 for Warriors, and Sheffield Elementary Running Club.
Entry fees for the 5K vary by date: $30 through January 31, $35 from February 1 to February 28, $40 from March 1 to March 20, and $50 on race day. The 1 Mile fee is $15 for all listed periods and $20 on race day. Online registration fees shown on the registration site include server fees and may differ from the fees listed here. Online registration closes early; after it closes, registration is available in 1st Place Sports stores or on race day. There are no refunds.
Packet pickup is available at selected locations on Friday, March 20 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at two 1st Place Sports stores and at the Chick-Fil-A on Lunar Drive. Unclaimed packets will be moved to the race site for race day pickup beginning one hour before the race.
Awards include a grand prize of Chick-Fil-A for a year for the overall top three male and female finishers, age group awards across standard age brackets, and custom finisher medals for 5K finishers. Bikes and dogs are not allowed on the course. The race is part of the Jacksonville Grand Prix series, with points for top ten age group finishers and series prizes totaling over $5,000.
