Girls on the Run Northeast Florida Jacksonville 5K Celebration
Girls on the Run Northeast Florida holds a seasonal 5K celebration for the Greater Jacksonville council on November 21, 2026, at The Avenues Mall parking garage in Jacksonville, Florida. The event marks the end of the program season and gives participants a visible sense of accomplishment.
All program participants receive a commemorative medal. Program participants and coaches are already registered through the council and do not need to complete additional registration. General registration fees are listed by age category: ages 16 and older pay $25, and ages 15 and younger pay $15.
Volunteers support the event in roles such as set up and tear down, registration, course marshals, running buddies, water stations, cheer stations, and a Happy Hair or face painting station. Volunteers appointed through the council undergo a background check.
The council acknowledges national partners and local sponsors who support the 5K. Named national partners for the local 5K include Adidas, Gamma Phi Beta, BAND, and Fleet Feet. The event is presented as a closing celebration for program participants and emphasizes completion and recognition of participants achievements.
