Englewood Beach Manatee Mosey
The Englewood Beach Manatee Mosey takes place at Chadwick Park in Englewood, Florida. Held during Manatee Awareness Month, this event coincides with the seasonal migration of manatees toward warmer coastal habitats and springs. The event serves to highlight the protection of these marine animals and their natural environments.
The race features several participation options on the Gulf Coast:
- 5K Run/Walk: A chip-timed distance open to various experience levels.
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: A shorter distance for participants who prefer a briefer course.
- Virtual Manatee Mosey 5K: An option for those participating remotely.
Participants in the 5K and 1 Mile distances receive a finisher medal and an official event beach towel. Following the completion of the courses, post-race refreshments are provided at the beach location. The 5K event includes awards for the top three male and female finishers overall based on gun time. Age group awards are also distributed based on chip time for categories ranging from ages 0-9 to 70 and older.
The course is located at 2100 N Beach Road. Packet pickup is conducted on the morning of the event at Chadwick Park. The venue provides an opportunity for attendees to remain at the beach after the conclusion of the organized activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
