Event Information

The Chapelgill Hill Race is one of the longest-running hill races in Scotland, dating from the late 1970s. It is considered one of the steepest hill races in Britain. The event is held at Glenkirk farm in Glenholm, Broughton.

The course distance is 2.6 km (1.6 miles) with an ascent of 410 m (1345 ft). The race starts in the afternoon.

Requirements and Rules

Participants must carry or wear full body cover. Dogs are not allowed at the event due to lambing. The entry fee is £7 plus a booking fee. The organizer's policy states there are no refunds or deferrals.
