Event overview
The Glentress 8-hour Challenge is an endurance running event at Glentress on 06/06/2026. Participants complete as many 4.366 mile trail loops as possible within an 8-hour time limit. Each lap includes about 830 ft of ascent. Distance examples by laps:
- 3 laps = Half marathon
- 6 laps = Full marathon
- 7+ laps = Ultra marathon
Runners wear an electronic wristband (HuTag) that records each lap and the time it is completed. Runners must check out with the timing team after finishing to finalise lap counts and finish times. Finishers collect a finisher prize at the event Basecamp.
Logistics and rules
