Champlain Islands Marathon and Half Marathon
The 55th GMAA Champlain Islands Marathon and Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, October 18, 2026. The event is based at Folsom Elementary School in South Hero, Vermont.

The marathon and half-marathon are certified (VT24002JK) and begin and end near a house associated with a past Boston Marathon winner. The half-marathon is an out-and-back course along the west shore of South Hero and Grand Isle, passing farms, apple orchards, and summer cottages. The terrain is flat to rolling and the entire course is paved. The full marathon is run as two laps of the half-marathon course.
