Event Overview
The Union Bank Field House Fall Half Marathon is a running event in Shelburne, Vermont. It includes three different race distances: a half marathon, a 10K, and a 5K.
Course Details
All races begin and end at the Shelburne Field House. The half marathon follows a loop course on dirt and back roads. The route includes the Meach Cove property and passes Shelburne Farms. A section on Harbor Road provides views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks.
Both the 5K and 10K courses are out-and-back routes along Harbor Road. The 5K course is described as relatively flat, while the 10K course has a couple of hills.
Race Information
The half marathon has an overall time limit of 3.5 hours, ending at 11:30 AM for all distances. Water stations are provided at three points on the course. Portable toilets are available at the start/finish area and at two other points on the route. Participants must run against traffic and are asked not to run more than two abreast. The use of personal music devices is discouraged, and baby joggers are not permitted.
Parking and Logistics
There is no parking available at the Shelburne Field House on race day. Parking is designated at several nearby public locations. Bib and t-shirt pickup is available the day before at Fleet Feet in Essex Junction. Race-day check-in takes place at the Shelburne Field House.
