Vermont PANDAS & PANS Awareness 5K Run/Walk

The event is the third annual PANS/PANDAS awareness 5K held in Burlington on October 10, 2026, at the Burlington Surf Club, 50 Lakeside Ave. It is a family-friendly run and walk intended to raise awareness of PANS and PANDAS, autoimmune-related neuropsychiatric conditions that affect children and young adults.

The event features a chip-timed 5K course. On-site activities include a DJ, snacks, event T-shirts, medals, and prizes. Organizers plan to provide resources and access to experts to inform participants about these conditions and available care options.

The event partners with The Alex Manfull Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports awareness, education, and research into post-infectious neuroimmune disorders. Net proceeds will be given to Dartmouth Hospital’s Neuroimmune Psychiatric Disorder clinic to support its work and fellowship funding.

Registration information is provided in the event details: registration opens on October 17, 2025, and closes on September 14, 2026. The stated registration fee is $32.50.

A local family affected by PANS/PANDAS shares their experience of diagnosis and recovery and describes the event as a way to increase understanding and support for others facing similar challenges. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
