Event overview
The 2026 Cedarville Charge is a chip-timed running event held on March 22, 2026 at Cedarville State Forest in Brandywine, Maryland (10201 Bee Oak Rd.). Distances offered are a 5k and a 10k. The 10k is two laps of the 5k course. The route uses a mix of trail and paved roads with no major hills noted on the course description.

Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Dri-Fit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before March 11; sizes for race-day registrants cannot be guaranteed. Live results will be posted online and a QR code will be available at the event for immediate result access.
Water stations are placed at approximately mile 1.5 on the 5k, and at miles 1.5, 3.1 and 4.6 on the 10k. Gatorade will be available at some water stations. Restrooms are onsite. Packet pickup is available at the event; race-day registration is offered with a possible additional fee and limited shirt availability.
Points from this event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Winter Series. The event supports Friends of the Maryland State Parks, a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
