2026 National Harbor Turkey Trot 5k
The 2026 National Harbor Turkey Trot 5k is an inaugural 5k event on November 25 at National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland. The course traverses the harbor area and provides views of the Potomac. Points from this race count toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Fall Series.
The event includes a long sleeve technical Drifit event shirt guaranteed for runners registered before November 13; additional shirts will be ordered for later registrants on a first-come first-served basis. Participants receive a finisher's medal and chip timing. A virtual run option is available for those unable to attend in person.
Participants choose which of three charities to support at registration: Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation, PUSO Foundation, or Purple Heart Foundation.
Awards are presented to the top three men and top three women overall. Age group awards are given to first and second place male and female in the following categories: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. Runners who place in the top three overall are not eligible to also win their age groups.
Packet pickup is offered the day before at Road Runner Sports in Arlington and at the event. One water station is planned at approximately mile 1.55. Portajohns will be located at the start and finish. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and final results with series points will be posted on the organizer site the Monday following the race. Parking is available around National Harbor at 149 National Plaza with multiple paid garages and paid street parking; GPS coordinates 38.784971, -77.016900. Banditing is not permitted.
