Arlington Turkey Trot - VA
The Arlington Turkey Trot is an annual Thanksgiving morning 5K held in Arlington, Virginia. The 2025 edition marks the event's 20th anniversary and is scheduled for Thursday, November 27, with the start line located directly in front of the Lyon Park Community Center. The 2025 race is noted as sold out.
The event raises funds and awareness for local nonprofit organizations that provide food, shelter, and other services to Arlington residents. The 2025 Trot lists eighteen nonprofit beneficiaries and highlights collaborative support from community partners. An associated Extra Mile Program, hosted by Arlington Bridge Builders, offers opportunities for conversation and learning about the nonprofits supported by the race.
Registered participants who sign up by November 1 receive a white cotton Arlington Turkey Trot t-shirt featuring the tagline "Community Partners United in Service to Others." There is an option to upgrade the shirt to a long sleeve performance model for an additional twenty dollars.
