Arlington Turkey Trot - VA
The Arlington Turkey Trot is an annual community 5K held on Thanksgiving morning in Arlington, Virginia. The 2026 event marks the 21st anniversary and is scheduled for Thursday, November 26, with the start line positioned directly in front of Lyon Park Community Center.
The event raises funds and awareness for local nonprofit organizations that provide food, shelter, and other services to Arlington residents. Recent editions list multiple nonprofit beneficiaries and note collaboration among community partners and sponsors, including Arlington Bridge Builders, Arlington Community Foundation, and Amazon.
An Extra Mile Program hosted by Arlington Bridge Builders offers post‑race gatherings for conversation and further engagement with beneficiary organizations. Participants who register by November 1 receive a white cotton Arlington Turkey Trot T shirt as part of registration; there is an option to upgrade to a long sleeve performance shirt for an additional $20.
