Drumstick Turkey Trot 5k & 8 Miler
On November 26 the Drumstick Turkey Trot offers two distances at Gravelly Point in Arlington, VA. The event awards series points that count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Fall Series.

The courses follow the paved Mount Vernon Trail on a fairly flat out-and-back route with no major elevation gains. The 8 mile course continues out to Teddy Roosevelt Island. Walkers and strollers are welcome. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.
Participants receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before November 12; additional shirts may be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration fees are listed for each distance and increase on race morning by $5.
There are four water stations on the 8 mile course at approximately miles 1.55, 2.8, 5.2, and 6.45, and one water station on the 5k at about mile 1.55; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Port-a-johns are located adjacent to the parking lot. Packet pickup is available at the event and there will be no on-site race registration.
