Carlisle Santa Dash and Fun Run 2026
The Carlisle Santa Dash and Fun Run raises funds for the Jigsaw Charity, Cumbria’s children’s hospice. The event aims to send all entry income to the charity, and organisers seek commercial support to cover event costs so more of the entry fees can be donated. Volunteers and local running clubs provide marshals and event support free of charge.
The event offers two distances:
- 5 km Santa Dash, manually timed; all runners must wear a Santa suit.
- 2 km Fun Run/Walk; Santa suits will be provided to entries.
Suit sizes are available for children aged 5 and over in 5–8 and 9–14 sizes; adults have a one size fits all suit. Entries for children under 5 are free. Finishers receive festive medals; children aged 3 to 5 can choose a Santa hat and medal. Participants are advised to wear suitable layers underneath the Santa suit for cold weather.
Santa suit collection is scheduled on 2, 4 and 6 December at named collection locations in Carlisle, with specified collection times. Registration information notes a closing date of 3 December 2026.
