Carlisle Santa Dash
The Carlisle Santa Dash is a charity event held on 06 December 2026 in Bitts Park, Carlisle, with two short running options and activities for young children. The event aims to raise funds for the Jigsaw Charity, Cumbria’s children’s hospice, and organisers hope that 100% of entry fees will go to the charity. Local running clubs and marshals will give their time free of charge, and event organisers are seeking business support to cover costs so more entry fees can be donated.
The event features manual timing and no winners prizes; the beneficiary is the Jigsaw Charity. All runners are required to wear a Santa suit. Santa suits will be provided to entries in the Fun Run, and child sizes are available for approximate age ranges 5 to 8 and 9 to 14; the adult suit is one size. Entries for children under 5 are free, and finishers receive a festive medal; children aged 3 to 5 may choose a medal or a Santa hat plus medal.
Santa suit collection takes place on specified dates before the event at local venues in Carlisle, including Sheepmount car park, Carlisle College, and Morton Manor car park. Registration for the event closes on 3 December 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
