Event overview
The Carlisle Santa Dash and Fun Run takes place in Carlisle on 7 December 2025. The event includes the following distances:
- 5 km
- 2 km
The 5 km run will be manually timed. All 5 km runners must wear a Santa suit. Santa suits will be provided to entries in the Fun Run/Walk. There are no winners prizes; finishers receive a festive medal. Children aged 3 to 5 receive a medal or a Santa hat and medal if preferred. Entry is free for children under 5. If a participant enters the 5 km event, they may also take part in the 2 km Fun Run/Walk at no extra charge. Registration closes 4 December 2025.
Charity, volunteers and entry fees
The event aims to raise money for The Jigsaw Charity, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice, and organisers hope that 100% of entry fees will go to the charity. Organisers are seeking business support to cover event costs. Several local clubs and marshals will give their time free of charge. Direct donations to support Jigsaw are also accepted.
Entry options include individual and family entries. Listed prices include an example adult 5 km entry at £16.00 and a 2 km adult entry at £13.00. A booking fee of £0.50 plus 5% per participant applies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
