About the race
The Brampton Junior Trail Run is a junior trail race in Brampton, Cumbria on 3 January 2027 for young runners aged 9 to 15. The event follows part of the standard Brampton route and features an undulating trail with hills and muddy sections. The course distance is 2.9 kilometres, run as a single lap, and the event is not suitable for wheelchairs.
The organiser is Fellside Events Ltd and the Race HQ is at The Sands, Brampton, CA8 1EH. The event carries a Trail Running Association licence number 8857 (pending) and is held under UK Athletics rules. Entry is limited to 70 places; the entry list in the source shows 67 places remaining. Facilities listed include water, toilets and baggage storage; there are no distance markers, changing facilities or showers. A mobile coffee van will be on site selling hot and cold drinks and cakes.
Every competitor receives a bespoke medal and free event photographs will be available to download. Prizes are planned in the age categories 9 to 10, 11 to 13 and 14 to 15, subject to entries. Entry fees shown are £9.50 for affiliated entrants and £11.50 for unaffiliated entrants; if the event has not sold out, entry on the day is available for an additional £2.50.
