Sport In Action Carlisle Resolution Runs : event summary
The event takes place on 17 January 2027 at Carlisle Race Course in England and offers measured road running distances. Courses are officially measured and certified by the Association of UK Course Measurers; a measurement certificate and the event permit will be on display at event HQ.
Distances offered:
- 10 km (new permanent course to be measured in summer)
- 5 km (two laps on racecourse ambulance track on tarmac, traffic free)
The 5 km route remains on the racecourse and includes two laps of the ambulance track on very good tarmac. The wider route uses a mixture of quiet country roads that are generally flat or gently undulating with road surfaces described as generally okay. The runs finish close to the racecourse grandstand. Caution is advised at turns and participants should follow marshal and race director instructions and be aware of cars and cyclists.
Race numbers and timing chips are issued at registration. Live results will be provided and posted online shortly after the races. Prizes are awarded to overall male and female 1st to 3rd, with age group prizes allocated according to the number of competitors in each category. The withdrawal policy states withdrawals up to 18 December 2025 incur a 50% charge; after that date no refunds are given. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
