Sport In Action Carlisle Resolution Runs
The event takes place at Carlisle Race Course in England on 17 January 2027. Two measured and certified courses are offered; the courses have been certified by the Association of UK Course Measurers. A new permanent 10 km course will be measured in the summer when the CSLR is complete.
The 5 km route remains on the racecourse and includes two laps of the ambulance track on tarmac. That course is described as undulating but traffic free. The broader route uses a mixture of quiet country roads which are generally flat or gently undulating and with road surfaces generally described as okay. Caution is advised at turns and marshals are placed where necessary. The runs finish close to the racecourse grandstand.
Race numbers and timing chips are issued at registration. A full course risk assessment will be on display at the event HQ together with route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate in accordance with UKA rules (Permit No TBA). Live results are provided by Timing Up North.
Prizes are awarded for overall male and female 1st to 3rd places. Age group prize allocation is tiered: 1 to 17 competitors receives 1st place only; 18 to 27 competitors receives 1st and 2nd places; 28 or more competitors receives 1st to 3rd places. Any age group competitor who finishes in an overall prize position will receive the overall prize. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
