Sport In Action Carlisle Resolution Runs - 17 January 2027
The event takes place at Carlisle Race Course in England and offers measured road race distances. Distances on offer:
- 10 km
- 5 km
The 5K route remains on the racecourse and includes two laps of the ambulance track on very good tarmac. That course is undulating but traffic free. A new permanent 10K course will be measured in the summer when the local CSLR work is complete. All courses are officially measured and certified accurate by the Association of UK Course Measurers.
The longer route makes use of quiet country roads that are generally flat or gently undulating; road surfaces are generally described as okay. Caution is advised at turns and participants are asked to follow marshal instructions. The runs finish close to the racecourse grandstand. Race numbers and timing chips are issued at race registration.
A health and fitness partner will provide online coaching services, including tailored plans, nutritional advice and ongoing access for participants who use those services.
Race day documentation will include a full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and measurement certificate on display at the event headquarters. Live results are provided online by the official timing provider. Prize awards are offered for overall male and female 1st to 3rd and for age groups according to the stated competitor-number thresholds. Withdrawals before 18 December 2025 incur a 50% charge; after that date no refunds are given. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
