Sport In Action Carlisle Resolution Runs
The Sport In Action Carlisle Resolution Runs take place at the Carlisle Race Course in England. The event features two distinct distances for participants to choose from, both of which are officially measured and certified for accuracy by the Association of UK Course Measurers:
- 10 km
- 5 km
The 5 km course is held entirely within the racecourse grounds. It consists of two laps on the ambulance track, which features a tarmac surface. This route is undulating and completely traffic-free.
The 10 km course utilizes a new permanent route. This distance follows a mixture of quiet country roads that are generally flat or gently undulating. While these roads are described as quiet, participants share the space with vehicles and cyclists. Both distances conclude with a finish located near the racecourse grandstand.
Event logistics are managed at the racecourse headquarters, where race numbers and timing chips are issued during the morning registration period. A full risk assessment, route maps, and measurement certificates are displayed at the headquarters on the day of the event. Results are provided live by a timing service and are typically available shortly after the start of the races.
Prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers. Additionally, age group prizes for males and females are distributed based on the number of competitors in each specific category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
