The event takes place on 17 January 2027 at Carlisle Race Course, England. It offers two measured distances on certified courses and uses chip timing for results.

The courses are officially measured and certified by the Association of UK Course Measurers. The 5K is entirely on the racecourse and includes two laps of an ambulance track that is traffic free and surfaced in tarmac, finishing in front of the racecourse main stand. Elevation for the 5K is gain +161 ft and loss -152 ft; maximum grade +3.5, minimum grade -4.2.
The 10K follows a road route that leaves the racecourse area, includes several turns and a bridge crossing before returning to finish in front of the main stand. A new permanent 10K course is in place for 2027 with elevation gain +209 ft and loss -212 ft; maximum grade +2.5, minimum grade -2.8. An old course profile is also recorded for comparison.
Race numbers and timing chips are issued at race registration. Overall and age-group prizes are awarded for male and female categories, with prize depth depending on the number of entrants in each age group. A full course risk assessment, route maps, permit and measurement certificate will be available at event headquarters. Live results are provided by the event timing service.
