DH River Run - Carlisle, 25 October 2026
The DH River Run is a 10 km out and back road run along the river path from Denton Holme towards Dalston. The course has one water station. The start and finish are located on Denton Street between Holme Head House and the junction with North Street.
Parking is available at Rome Street Car Park CA2 5LE. Race-day registration, toilets, prize presentation and refreshments will be handled at Denton Holme WMCC, 1 Morley Street CA2 5HQ. Registration opens at 08:30 and closes at 09:30 on race day, with a race briefing in the start area before the event.
The event is open to anyone aged 16 and over and is limited to 230 places. Entry fees are £21 unaffiliated and £19 affiliated; £1 from each entry will be donated to the Well Communities Charity. A 50 percent refund plus an admin fee is available until 11 October; no refunds are offered after that date. Entries are non-transferrable and competing under another person’s entry will result in disqualification.
Prizes are awarded for the first three male and female finishers and for first male and female in the following categories: under 18, V40, V50, V60 and V70. Event photos will be taken by Fellside Photography and made available for free after the event. Live results will be provided by Timing Up North Results. A post-race buffet will be served.
