DH River Run, Carlisle : 25 October 2026
The DH River Run is a 10 km out and back road race along the river path from Denton Holme towards Dalston. The course starts and finishes on Denton Street, between Holme Head House and the junction with North Street. There is one water station on the route.
Event facilities including registration, toilets, prize presentation and refreshments are at Denton Holme WMCC, 1 Morley Street CA2 5HQ. Parking is available at Rome Street Car Park CA2 5LE. Live results will be available after the race.
Entries are open to anyone aged 16 and over. Entry fees are stated as £21 for unaffiliated runners and £19 for affiliated runners. The maximum number of places is 230. One pound from each entry will be donated to the Well Communities Charity.
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third male and female finishers and for first male and female under 18, and for age categories V40, V50, V60 and V70. A 50 percent refund plus an administration fee is offered until 11 October; no refunds are available after that date. Entries are non transferable. A post race buffet will be provided.
